Vincent is a former Turk who was betrayed by his love, Lucrecia Crescent, Sephiroth's biological mother and a Shinra scientist, and turned into a monster. He sleeps beneath the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim in penance for his sins of failing to stop the Jenova Project, but joins the party upon learning they might run into Professor Hojo whom he deems culpable for everything.

After escaping from the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his friends set out on a journey across the planet. New adventures await in a vibrant and vast world – sprint across grassy plains on a Chocobo and explore expansive environments.

[quarenta] The pursuit of Sephiroth that formed most of the main narrative was suggested by Nomura, as nothing similar had been done in the series before.[24] Kitase and Nojima conceived AVALANCHE and Shinra as opposing organizations and created Cloud's backstory as well as his relationship to Sephiroth.[54] Among Nojima's biggest contributions to the plot were Cloud's memories and split personality; this included the eventual conclusion involving his newly created character of Zack.[24] The crew helped Kitase adjust the specifics of Sakaguchi's original Lifestream concept.[54]

Taking place several years before the events of the game, this will set the stage for several important moments within Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The trailers have shown off Cloud fighting various creatures with Final Fantasy 7 Remake's blend of real-time action and commands, but we've also seen glimpses of the other party members in action.

Shortly after the first trailer was revealed, producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed the remake series will be a trilogy. Kitase shared this news and how it impacted Rebirth on Twitter, writing:

We can expect to see locations such as the Gold Saucer, meet new and familiar faces, and get stuck into plenty of mini-games as we venture around with Cloud and the gang one more. 

Nostalgia brought me back to this game but, nostalgia couldn’t save this game, as about halfway I got tremendously bored and had to use a Nintendo boost to get me through the rest of it.
